Carpet Cleaning in Cambridge

Professional carpet cleaning for homes and businesses across Cambridge and Cambridgeshire, using hot water extraction — the method that lifts dirt out of the pile rather than moving it around.

Carpets hold far more than they show. Dust, grit, pet hair, skin cells and spills work their way down into the fibres where vacuuming cannot reach. That trapped grit is also what wears a carpet out: every footstep grinds it against the pile.

A professional clean pulls that out. Colours come back, odours go, and the carpet lasts considerably longer than it otherwise would — which usually costs a great deal less than replacing it.

Carpet Cleaning FAQs

How much does carpet cleaning cost in Cambridge?

It depends on the number of rooms, the size of them and the condition of the carpet. We quote a fixed price per job rather than by the hour, agreed before we start. Quotes are free — request one here.

How long do carpets take to dry?

Usually two to four hours to touch dry, longer for thick or wool carpets. Opening windows and running the heating speeds it up. You can walk on them carefully in clean socks almost straight away.

Will it remove every stain?

Most, but not all. Long-standing stains, bleach damage and some dyes are permanent. Tell us what the stain is and how long it has been there when you call — and send a photo if you can. We will tell you honestly what we expect to achieve before we start.

Is it safe for pets and children?

Yes. The hot water extraction process relies mainly on heat and suction, and the products we use are safe once the carpet is dry.

Do you clean upholstery too?

Yes — sofas, armchairs and fabric furniture, using the same process adjusted for the fabric.

Which areas do you cover?

Cambridge, Ely, St Neots, Huntingdon, St Ives, Cambourne, Royston, Newmarket, Sawston, Histon, Waterbeach, Great Shelford and the surrounding villages. If your postcode starts CB or PE, just ask.
